Walmart Coupon Policy

There are a few overarching rules that apply to any Couponing you do at Walmart:

Any coupon you wish to use must have a Valid Date, Scannable Bar Code, and CANNOT be a copy of a coupon. As with any coupon, the item must match the coupon specifications for size, quantity, brand, and sometimes particular flavors or colors.

Limitations When Couponing at Walmart

Before you slap down all your coupons at Checkout, you should know that the clerk can only take 40 coupons before having to call over a manager to approve the transaction.

This is done at the store’s discretion and is not guaranteed. The same is for total savings… The Manager must approve any transaction that uses $50 or more in coupons!!!

WalMart Price Match:

Nowadays, the only traditional price match that Walmart allows is with online retailers that have a lower price than Walmart’s….

Just because Walmart stopped price matching local brick & mortar retailers, it doesn’t mean you’re completely out of luck.

But… you can always take advantage of Walmart’s FREE Savings Catcher app. (iOS, Android)

The Savings Catcher app allows you to scan your Walmart receipt and then goes out and tries to find a lower price at local top competitors.

You have 7 days after your purchase to scan your receipt and let Walmart attempt to find a lower price.

So basically, the app automatically finds any local competitors that’re offering a lower price on the stuff you recently bought. If Walmart finds a lower price (and they often do), they’ll credit you the difference.

The Walmart app is the absolute easiest way to get a Walmart price match.

How Exactly Does Their Online Price Match Work?

If you find a lower price at one of the above listed websites, contact Walmart before you place your order and they’ll give you the lower price.

Make sure to contact Walmart.com Customer Care or call them directly at 1.800.966.6546.

Walmart will then verify the item’s eligibility by reviewing the online retailer, their current price, and also make sure the item is in-stock at both Walmart.com and the competing website.

NOTE: You can only get ONE Online Price Match per day, per item and also… Be aware that Walmart.com has the final decision for matching any online price.

Conclusion

I recommend that you print off and take the new coupon policy with you if you anticipate issues with your Walmart store.

By providing the policy to your checker, they should be able to get you taken care of, even if they haven’t been fully trained on the new policy yet!!
